Bio
Lyndsay Klipfel is an educator and the founder of Lyndsay Klipfel Education LLC. She lives a multi-hyphen lifestyle: working one-on-one with private student clients, coaching parents, facilitating workshops for educators, and creating curriculum. In addition, she is co-author of Thinking Critically About What Matters: An Unconventional Guide.
Lyndsay was born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia as the youngest of six kids. Her mother was an elementary school teacher and instilled from a young age a passion for learning, reading, and creating. Lyndsay graduated with honors from Radford University in 2012 with a BA in Theatre and was awarded Outstanding Graduate from the School of Dance and Theatre. She graduated from California State University, Chico with her Master’s Degree in Education in 2016.
Lyndsay taught for seven years in the classroom. She was passionate about creating curriculum that was hands-on and allowed for students’ individual creativity. Her students loved her classroom for its bright colors, inviting atmosphere, and flexible seating. Lyndsay is passionate about Social-Emotional development and addressing the human needs that traditional educational models try to repress. Lyndsay served as a Social-Emotional coach for other instructors who want to cultivate spaces where students can be free to be their full selves and not attempt to fit into a narrow box of “student.”
In 2021, Lyndsay transitioned out of the classroom and began her own company, Lyndsay Klipfel Education. Lyndsay works with individual student clients and their families to provide individualized academic support and help students cultivate a passion for learning and increase their academic confidence. Many families continue to work with Lyndsay for years, leading to meaningful relationships with the student and the family. In this way, Lyndsay is a true thought partner and collaborator because of her familiarity with the children and their unique situations (as well as past struggles and triumphs).
Lyndsay lives in Santa Monica, CA with her husband (and co-author) and their poorly behaved cat. Outside of education, she has many passions such as: record collecting, sourdough baking, quilting, and has recently become the kind of person who goes for runs on the beach.
